Background

In 2023, the City of South St. Paul received funding through a Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) grant to study options for repurposing the former South St. Paul Library. Following an RFP process, the City selected New History, a firm specializing in historic building reuse, to lead the adaptive reuse feasibility study. The project explored the practical reuse strategies based on physical analysis, community feedback, and market data. The final report can be viewed below:
