North Concord Corridor Vision

The City of South St. Paul has planned for Concord Street North to serve as a mixed-use redevelopment corridor since 2004. The corridor spans from Grand Avenue to the city’s northern border with Saint Paul.

In 2021, the City updated its vision for the corridor to align with the reconstruction of Concord Street North. The redesign transformed the roadway into a multi-modal street featuring improved street lighting, expanded sidewalks, enhanced pedestrian crossings, designated bike shoulders, and direct connections to commuter bike lanes in St. Paul.

As part of the vision implementation, the City established a new zoning district with four subdistricts to guide land use and redevelopment within the corridor.
