Pig's Eye Dump Task Force

Pig’s Eye Dump Cleanup and Restoration

The Pig’s Eye Dump in St. Paul is undergoing cleanup and restoration due to health and environmental concerns. Established in 2022, the Pig’s Eye Dump Task Force is working to develop a comprehensive cleanup plan that addresses PFAS contamination affecting Battle Creek, Pig’s Eye Lake, and nearby groundwater.

This 200-acre site, located near the Mississippi River and Pig’s Eye Lake, is owned by the City of St. Paul. Cleanup efforts began in the early 2000s and are continuing through a phased approach. The task force’s plan will integrate public input with local, state, and federal environmental regulations. A final cleanup plan is expected by February 2026.
