South St. Paul Economic Development Strategy
The 2021-2024 South St. Paul Economic Development Strategy (“the Strategy”) was developed by City staff, the Economic Development Authority (EDA), and key partners to guide efforts in strengthening and expanding the City’s economic base. The EDA officially adopted the Strategy in April 2021.
The Strategy outlines local and regional housing and employment trends, as well as the City's key economic development goals for 2021-2024. It serves as a foundation for policymaking by:
- Enhancing partnerships with businesses and stakeholders.
- Advancing programs that increase revenue and reduce costs for local businesses.
- Encouraging a diverse mix of business types in the City.
Designed as a living framework, the Strategy is reviewed and updated every three years—or more frequently, as needed—to align with current and emerging trends, economic conditions, and community priorities.
