Lorraine Park

Lorraine Park

Lorraine Park has served as a cherished community gathering place for South St. Paul families since the 1930s. Known for its central location and wide variety of amenities, the park is distinguished by its majestic oak trees that provide natural shade and a tranquil environment.

Once home to McLain Pool (1939–1999), Lorraine Park now features an outdoor Splash Pool, opened in 1993. This zero-depth entry aquatic facility is ideal for young children and new swimmers, offering a slide, spray features, and a bathhouse with a concession stand for a full day of family fun.

Park amenities include two reservable picnic shelters (South Shelter includes electric hot plates), a detached restroom building, a boarded hockey rink with a warming house, horseshoe pits, sand volleyball, and a large playground structure.

Lorraine Park is also home to McGuire Field, a key athletic venue for South St. Paul High School baseball, the Stockman Irish adult team, and various youth and adult baseball leagues.

With its blend of history, natural beauty, and recreation, Lorraine Park continues to be a welcoming destination for relaxation, play, and community events.
