A project to extend Verderosa Avenue from its existing terminus just south of I-494 to Hardman Avenue is proposed for the 2026 construction season. Work will include public roadway connection and utilities, the relocation and renewal of the South St. Paul Community Gardens, and improved access to the Mississippi River and the regional trail network. The project is in the design phase.
The City has been awarded $3,000,000 from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development for the extension of Verderosa Avenue and public utilities to serve the project.
