South Street Reconstruction Project

Project Overview

This project is a joint effort between the cities of South St. Paul and Inver Grove Heights. The proposed work includes the full reconstruction of two blocks of South Street W, between 5th Avenue S and 7th Avenue S, in both cities. It also includes a full-depth reclamation of Upper 55th Street in Inver Grove Heights, from Blaine Avenue to 7th Street S/Cahill Avenue.

A Public Improvement Hearing for this project was held on Monday, November 3rd, 2025. If you have any questions or comments about the project, please contact Kelsey Gelhar, City Engineer, at 651-554-3219.
