The Marie Avenue Reconstruction Project - Phase 2 is proposed to include reconstruction of the street, sidewalk improvements, lighting improvements, and utility replacements. The Phase 2 project is currently in the design stage.
Phase 2 includes reconstructing Marie Avenue from 9th Avenue to 15th Avenue in 2026.
A Public Improvement Hearing was held at the January 5, 2026, City Council meeting. This public hearing was the public’s opportunity to discuss the project and provide input to staff and the Council on the feasibility report before the City Council decided whether to proceed with the proposed improvements. The City Council voted to proceed with the project, but to include the sidewalk extension between 12th Avenue N and 15th Avenue N along the north side of Marie Avenue as a bid alternate.
