About Fleming Field

The South St. Paul Municipal Airport – Fleming Field is a publicly owned facility operated by the City of South St. Paul. Located in Dakota County, the airport offers convenient access, situated approximately 1.5 miles from both Interstate 494 and US Highway 52. Within minutes, visitors can reach destinations such as the Mall of America, Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, Target Field, US Bank Stadium, and the Vikings TCO Performance Training Center and Stadium. Fleming Field hosts several entities, including the Commemorative Air Force, the Civil Air Patrol, and Wipaire.

Fleming Field features a single runway, Runway 16/34, which measures 4,002 feet in length and 100 feet in width.

The airport offers Phillips 66 branded fuel in two types: 100LL and Jet-A. Additionally, we now offer 94UL from Swift Fuels, making us the only vendor west of Cumberland, WI to provide this product. We are proud to offer competitively priced fuel, available 24/7/365 through self-service pumps using a credit card, or full-service fueling through Wipaire.

The airport supports three approaches: NDB-B, LOC RWY 34, and RNAV (GPS) RWY 34. We are pleased to announce the publication of new LPV minimums for RNAV (GPS) RWY 34 as of February 1, 2018.

For those interested in building their own hangar, there are several lots available on the west side of the airfield and commercial lots with ramp access on the east side. Please contact Airport Staff for further information and assistance with your inquiries.
