To Report an Electrical or Gas Emergency

If you detect a sulfur or rotten egg smell, it may indicate a natural gas leak. This odor is added by Xcel to help detect gas leaks. If you smell gas: leave your home immediately—do not turn electrical devices on or off, and avoid using garage door openers or anything that could cause a spark. Once safely outside, call 1-800-895-2999 or dial 911.
