Apply for your Private I&I Grant rebate using the form below. You will need to provide a photo or scanned copy of your receipt. To qualify for the rebate, you must meet the following requirements:
Inflow & Infiltration Reduction Requirements
- The grant requires the property owner to match grant funds, with most grants expected to be matched based on the attached funding summary.
- The private service line or foundation drain must be active and serving an occupied building.
- Inspection costs are allowed only if the inspection results in eligible repairs.
- Applicants must provide verification of the I&I issue (tree roots, cracks in the service, etc.) to the Public Works Department. Receipts with dates for work and materials must be submitted after grant approval. Repairs completed before grant acceptance are not eligible.
- Applicants must demonstrate that pipe lining is not a viable option before open-cut trench excavation is permitted.
- All sewer service line lining projects must extend the lining to the wye to prevent Inflow & Infiltration from bypassing into the sanitary mainline.
- Applicants are responsible for obtaining any required permits and must submit proof of proper installation if applicable.
- Funds are limited, and applications will be processed in the following order:
- First, qualified low-income households (at 185% of the 2024 Poverty Level per HHS Poverty Guidelines).
- Then, applications will be processed in the order they are received.
- Residents meeting the equity component may be eligible for additional compensation.
- Rebate requests exceeding $600 require a W-9 form from the applicant.
Grant awards cover 50% of eligible costs, up to $5,000. For private property owners meeting their municipality’s equity criteria, the grant award may increase up to $10,000.
Funds are limited. Applicants are not guranteed full grant reimbursement if funds are available.
