Reasonable Accommodations
A reasonable accommodation is a change, exception, or adjustment to a rule, policy, practice, or service that may be necessary for a person with disabilities to have an equal opportunity to use and enjoy a dwelling—including public and common use spaces—or to fulfill program obligations.
These accommodations eliminate barriers that might prevent individuals with disabilities from fully participating in housing opportunities. Since rules and policies may affect persons with disabilities differently, identical treatment is not always equitable. While not all individuals with disabilities will need accommodations, everyone has the right to request one at any time.
Please review the City Ordinance below before submitting a request.
Requests may be submitted by individuals with disabilities, their representatives, or developers/providers of housing for persons with disabilities.
