Recycling Requirements
Starting in 2021, event centers, community festivals, fairs, sporting events, and concerts have been required to recycle. As of 2024, certain large events with food scraps need to collect organics from non-public.
Event Recycling Help
Dakota County offers free resources for events to help meet the recycling and compost requirements. Free resources include:
Receptacles
- Portable x-frame receptacles
- Recycling: 75

- Bags for each waste stream
- Signs for each x-frame
