Trash Disposal Requirements

Residents and business owners are responsible for the proper disposal of trash. All garbage containers must have tight-fitting covers and be capable of receiving and holding garbage without leakage, odor escape, or being filled within four inches of the top. Containers should accommodate the typical weekly accumulation of waste on the premises.

Garbage cans or receptacles may not be placed on or in streets, alleys, sidewalks, footpaths, or other public areas. The City's code enforcement officer or their designee will determine the sufficiency of garbage containers and their placement.
