The City of South St. Paul is accepting applications to create an eligible register for the Police Officer position. The 2026 Top Patrol annual salary is $109,886 plus benefits. Lateral candidates are welcome and may receive wage placement based on prior qualifying experience.
Applicants must hold a current P.O.S.T. license, be eligible for licensure, or be scheduled to complete a P.O.S.T. approved Skills course by September 1, 2026, and obtain eligibility by October 1, 2026. Current City employees who will be P.O.S.T. eligible by February 1, 2027, may also apply.
