The City of South St. Paul invites residents to a public open house for the Marie Avenue Reconstruction Project on Thursday, September 19th, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kaposia Library (131 7th Avenue North, South St. Paul, MN 55075).
The City is in the planning stages of reconstructing Marie Avenue, from 3rd Avenue to 9th Avenue, with construction proposed for the summer of 2025. The project will include street reconstruction, pedestrian safety improvements, lighting upgrades, and utility repairs and replacements. The project is partially funded by a Safe Routes to School Grant.
This open house is an opportunity for you to learn more about the proposed improvements, speak with project representatives, and provide your input. While there won’t be a formal presentation, information will be available to help you understand the scope and impact of the project.
If you cannot attend, the handouts and any informational posters will be available online after the meeting on the City’s website under Departments & Services > Engineering > Street & Construction Projects. For those who prefer a paper copy, please call the engineering department at 651-554-3210.
